All JV Blue home games will be played at CFD Stadium in Highland Park unless otherwise noted on schedule. JV Red home games will be play at either CFD Stadium or at Kokomo High School.

Kyle Wade threw a complete game shutout. It only took Wade 70 pitches for the victory. He struck out seven and walked zero while limiting Jeff to just four hits.

Jack Perkins went the distance on the mound striking out 16. He gave up just two hits while only walking 1. At the plate Perkins added a solo home run to help his cause.

Offensively the Kats were led at the plate by Nate Hemmerich's 2-for-3 night. Nate also had an RBI and scored two runs.

Colt Munsey had a bases-clearing double in the big 6thinning, and Noah Hurlock and Kyle Wade each added RBI doubles.

With the win the Kats move to 15-1 on the season and into the NCC semifinals next weekend at Municipal Stadium against the winner of today’s Marion-Logansport game.

May 8 Benton Central (H)  6:00 pm  (W) 4-1

Bayden Root was in command on the mound all evening limiting the Bison to one earned on five hits while striking out 13. Root went the distance to pick up his fifth win of the season.

At the plate the Kats were paced by Jack Perkins’ 2-for-3 night with a triple and two runs scored. Root helped his cause with a two-run triple of his own, and DaShaun Barbary added a run scoring double as well. Kyle Wade chipped in with a RBI sac fly. Noah Hurlock and Colt Munsey each scored on the evening.

May 9 Noblesville (H) 6:00 pm (W) 8-7 (8 innings)

Kyle Wade delivered the clutch two-run double in the eighth that scored Nate Hemmerich and Jack Perkins to win it. 

Hemmerich got the win on the mound, going four strong innings in relief, allowing only one earned run while striking out six. With the win Hemmerich improved to 3-0 on the season. Kyle Wade got the start going the first four innings allowing only one earned run while striking out four and pitching around some trouble early in the game. 

At the plate the Kats were led by Wade’s 2-for-4 night with three RBIs and two runs scored. Bayden Root went 2-for-3 on the night with two RBIs, and Colt Munsey added a pair of hits. Perkins scored two runs on the evening, including the game-winner, and DaShaun Barbary and Charez Butcher each drove in a run. Noah Hurlock had a double and
an RBI as well.

May 10 Marion (T) 5:30 pm (W) 9-0

Brian Harding and Spencer Bowlin combined on a four-hit shutout. Harding got his second win of the season going the first four innings while striking out five. Bowlin finished the final three innings and also struck out five Giant batters.

At the plate the Kats got contributions up and down the lineup. Noah Hurlock went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored. Quamielle Belt went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and Bayden Root chipped in two RBIs and scored twice. DaShaun Barbary drove in two runs, and Colt Munsey contributed two runs and an RBI of his own. Kenny
