The Katfish were victorious in the pool at Logansport, topping the Berries 132-33. They posted wins in all three relay events and had several individual winners.

The next contest for the Katfish will be in the new year. They will be swimming at Hamilton Heights on January 3rd , and at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center for the NCC Championships on January 5th.

Jan. 3 Hamilton Heights (T) 5:30 pm With several of the swimmers resting in preparation of the NCC Championships, the balance of the team gained some valuable experience against Hamilton Heights.

Hamilton Heights prevailed 98-77, but the Katfish had two winners in the contest- Andrew Joyce in the 200 Free and Isaac Elkin in diving.

Max White was a quadruple winner; Cortlandt Kalkstein and Logan Pitner were triple winners; Drew Coram, Isaac Elkin, Sean Ryals, and Cameron Bryant were all double winners; and, Caleb Smith anchored the winning medley relay.

The Katfish fell to Oak Hill 108-77 after rotating some of their lineup this evening to gather times for alternate events.

Max White was a quadruple winner as part of the 200 and 400 Free Relays, and individually in the 200 IM and 100 Backstroke.

Logan Pitner was a triple winner via his win in the 200 Free and as part of the winning 200 and 400 relays. Cortlandt Kalkstein and Cameron Bryant made up the balance of the winning relays. Cortlandt also raced to first in the season's first tie in the 50 Free. Nahum Lamberson rounded out the winners for the Katfish when he took first in the 100 Fly.

I was impressed with how the boys swam last evening while swimming some alien events. They put forth a great effort, and learned more about how capable they truly are when applying themselves.

Jan. 16 W Laf/Harrison @ Harrison 5:30 pm Max White was the sole winner for the Katfish last night in the 500 Free. The 2018-19 NCC champions Harrison and a talented West Lafayette team proved to be too much for the Katfish as we finished third in the tri-meet.

I am confident the team will regroup and refocus for our final home meet on Tuesday. We will honor our 2019 seniors on January 22ndas the Katfish host Frankfort at 6:00 for Senior Night.

The Katfish closed out their last home contest of the season with a win over Frankfort 106-69. Getting a win at home is always fun, but made all the more special with it being Senior Night. Consistency throughout the events distanced the Katfish from the Hotdogs. Max White, Cortlandt Kalkstein, Drew Coram, and Logan Pitner were all double winners. Michael McGraw, Caleb Smith, and Isaac Elkin also posted first place finishes either individually or as part of a relay.

The Western Panthers outlasted the Katfish 94-86 in last evening's final regular season contest. Both teams exchanged top finishes, but the Panthers were able to place a second scoring team in all three relay events.

Max White and Logan Pitner were quadruple winners for the Katfish. Max turned in dominate individual performances in the 200 Free and 100 Fly, while Logan won the 50 and 100 Free events. White, Pitner, Cortlandt Kalkstein, and Cameron Bryant took first in the 200 and 400 Free relays. Kalkstein and Bryant also joined Pitner to sweep the 50 Free sprint.
