Date Opponent Time  Score
Aug. 10 Zionsville Scrimmage (H) 7:00 pm
Aug. 17 New Palestine (T) 7:00 pm (L) 77-0
Aug. 24 Plymouth (H) 7:30 pm (L) 35-19
The Kats defense began the game giving up a deep pass play of the first play of the drive, then
closed the door with a goal line stand. Plymouth took advantage of a fumble recovery that was
returned for a TD.

The first half belonged to the Kats defense as their energy was making life miserable for the Rockies.

In the second half the offense made their presence felt with a strong ground game which included a 111-yard performance by DeShawn Winston with the help of the offensive line.

Aug. 31 Marion (H) 7:00 pm (L) 46-7
Kokomo came out with a strong performance on both sides of the football against Marion. The energy level was high as we faced the  Giants, but we ultimately fell 46-7.

One of the best plays, one that will be a season highlight, was the connection from Levi Hrabos to Julian Wallace in the second quarter. Julian caught the ball in front of the goal line, the ball flipped to his back, and he held it and then wrapped it around his body for a TD grab for the ages.

The second half marked a different story. The half started with a kickoff return for a touchdown and a long pass for a score which gave them the advantage that they never relinquished.

Outstanding performances of the night were by Levi Hrabos, who completed 17 of his 32 passes for 254 yards, and by Javias Gray, who had a team high nine tackles.

The Wildkats were able to possess the football the majority of the night and showed big play ability in all facets of the game.

Great job, Kats!

Oct. 26 Sectional Kokomo 22 - McCutcheon 20
The Kokomo Wildkats were able to earn their fifth win of the season with a sectional semi-final victory over McCutcheon 22-20.

This game was a hard fought victory coming down to the last possession where our defense stopped them on a 4th -and -1. Great job by all.

Season Review:

2018 was a year that began with a 0-5 start to the turnaround of 5-0 with a chance to claim Kokomo’s fourth straight sectional title.

Reflecting on the great accomplishments of our team, we had two record holders etch their names in the books of Kokomo history. Steven Edwards claimed four records this season and Levi Hrabos became the all-time single game touchdown leader. These young men along with countless others are what marked a huge shift from that 0-5 start.

We would like to thank administration, staff, parents, and community members for coming out and supporting us. We cannot wait for 2019 campaign!!!
