Vice Principal
KHS Administration

I’m Angela Blessing, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Kokomo High School. My family and I feel truly embraced by our Kokomo school community, and we love being Wildkats. Both my husband and I are educators, and with our oldest son having graduated with the KHS Class of 2024 and our youngest son a future KHS Class of 2032 graduate, our connection to this school and its mission has become even more personal and meaningful.
After graduating from Anderson University in 1998, I earned my administrator’s license in 2004 from Butler University. Since stepping into the role of KHS principal in 2015, I have focused on creating an educational environment where every student can thrive. I am proud to share that our KHS graduation rate has consistently approached 100%, reflecting the commitment of our incredible staff and the awesome efforts of our Wildkat students.
This success is made possible by the remarkable team of administrators and educators at KHS whose enthusiasm and dedication drive our mission forward, alongside the invaluable partnerships we have cultivated with our community and stakeholders. To continue enhancing educational opportunities, KHS has expanded Advanced Placement courses, introduced the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, and established a Fine Arts Graduation Pathway.
I feel strongly about the importance of creating opportunities and discovering innovative ways to develop resources that eliminate obstacles, empowering our KHS students to achieve their goals. At KHS, our students have opportunities to explore 40 graduation pathways and earn more than 100 Dual College credits – at no cost to students or families!
At Kokomo High School, our rich history, longstanding traditions, and strong school spirit inspire a sense of belonging and encourage us to strive for excellence in everything we do. I believe that “Legacy matters,” and I am dedicated to offering an environment where students feel empowered to choose their path and shape their journey. As we continue along the Wildkat Way together, I’m excited about the future we are building at KHS — one that showcases the determination, creativity, and achievements of our Wildkats.
It is a privilege to support our students as they pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on our community. Together with our dedicated KHS educators and the support of our community partners, I look forward to guiding you along the Wildkat Way!
