Keeping our Wildkats safe during the busiest times of the day requires everyone's cooperation. Please review our morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and student parking guidelines below.

Our security team and administrators are posted outside daily to help guide traffic and assist students. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our campus safe and moving smoothly!

Doors open for students at 7:05 a.m.

Option 1: Main Entrance (Door 1 - South Side)

• Routing: Enter the main parking lot at the southeast corner of campus (parallel to Lincoln Road).

• Drop-Off Zone: Use the right lane only. Students may exit their vehicles anywhere between Door 48 and Door 1.

• Safety Rules:

  • Students must exit from the passenger side only.

  • The left lane (southernmost lane) is for through traffic only. Do not stop, park, or drop off students in the left lane.

Option 2: Berkley Road (Door 45 - East Side)

• Timing: Parents may park along Berkley Road starting at 7:05 a.m.

• Arrival Zone: Students will enter campus through Door 45.

• Safety Rules:

  • Students must exit vehicles from the passenger side and use the designated crosswalk outside Door 45.

  • Important: School buses unload here at 7:05 a.m. Students must never cross the drive while buses are in motion.

  • Firm Deadline: Door 45 closes right at 7:20 a.m. If you arrive at or after 7:20 a.m., you must drop your student off at the Main Entrance (Door 1).

Dismissal begins at 2:15 p.m.

Option 1: Main Entrance (Door 1 - South Side)

• Routing: Enter the parking lot at the southeast corner of campus.

• Pick-Up Zone: Pull up to the entrance at Door 1 using the right lane only. Students must enter vehicles from the passenger side only.

• Traffic Flow: The left lane is reserved strictly for through traffic. Stopping or waiting in the left lane is not permitted.

Option 2: Berkley Road (Door 45 - East Side)

• Timing: Parents may park along Berkley Road starting at 2:00 p.m.

• Dismissal Zone: Students exit through Door 45 and use the crosswalk to reach the Berkley Road sidewalks.

• Safety Rules:

  • Students must enter vehicles from the passenger side only.

  • Buses depart the lot at 2:26 p.m. Students must wait to cross if buses are moving.

Option 3: Westside Parking Lot

• Timing: Parents may arrive to wait in the westside parking lots starting at 2:15 p.m.

• Dismissal Zone: Students can exit through the west doors of the building to meet your vehicle directly in the lot.

Driving to KHS is a privilege, and we want to ensure our student lots remain organized and secure.

1.Register your vehicle: $5 Fee.

Every student driver must register their vehicle at the Kokomo High School Bookstore. A parking pass costs $5.

2.Receive your assigned spot:

Upon registration, you will be assigned a specific, designated parking spot for the school year.

3.Park in the Westside Lot:

Student parking is permitted only in the designated student spaces within the westside parking lots.

4.Enter through Door 1:

After parking, all student drivers must head to the front of the building and enter the school through Door 1.
