This year's girls' wrestling team is gearing up for an exciting season filled with growth and lots of fun. After working hard this off-season, the team is ready to step onto the mat with more confidence and experience. This season, the program has high hopes and expectations to build on last season's progress while continuing to push boundaries.

“This year I'm not cheating myself in practice and holding others accountable to help ensure their full potential,” said senior Nevaeh Wilson.

The team has built up their coaching staff, helping the wrestlers be more prepared and perform to their highest potential.

“We added new coaches to our staff and I’m excited to see their involvement,” said head coach Jacob Bough.

Ultimately the team is looking forward to having fun.

“This year I'm excited to just have fun with my teammates,” said junior Makyila Rubush.

Earlier in the season, at the Logansport Invite, senior Berklee Stump showed just how dominant this LadyKat team can be. Stump was undefeated in the invite, going 4 - 0 on the day. She also led the tournament with the most pins in the shortest total time. Her four combined pins only took her one minute and 53 seconds.

The LadyKat wrestlers compete at North Central Conference Wrestlemania meet at Memorial Gym Saturday.
