As the cross country season continues, the team has been working hard and improving. Junior runner Reece Wright feels that the season is going very well so far. 

“My times that I’m currently running are much better than at this point last year,” he said. 

Reece has also set goals for himself, including running a sub-17:30 and earning a spot on the All-NCC team. 

Coach Jordan Ousley is also looking forward to seeing how the team improves throughout the season. He said that the team has both individual and team goals, with the team hoping to qualify for regionals and challenge for the NCC title. 

The Kats’ cross country teams head to the North Central Conference meet on Oct. 3 before racing in the Logansport Sectional on Saturday, Oct. 17. If the teams qualify for the Brownsburg Regional, they will race for a spot at the state finals.
